ASM Gators
The American Society for Microbiology, UF Student Chapter is a student-run organization that offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to more fully explore the microbiology field by offering ties to research, leadership opportunities, relevant outreach programs, trips to microbiology-related institutions, and connections with fellow peers and faculty members.

Research
One of our primary objectives is to get students involved in research. Joining ASM Gators will connect you to fellow students and faculty members, facilitating your future in cutting-edge research at one of the top research universities in the nation.
Trips
Information
ASM Gators organizes trips each semester to go visit a microbiology-related site for those considered active members!
Dates for future events will be announced via listserv/facebook group.
Past Trips
Fall 2015 included trips to the Biotech Incubator in Alachua, as well as the Space Life Sciences Lab.
Spring 2016 included trips to the Florida Department of Health in Jacksonville, as well as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia.
