Navigating e-Learning
Overview
The flipped advising model utilizes technology to enhance the advising experience. The learning management system, or e-Learning Links to an external site., is a helpful platform to create and share resources that will prepare and guide your students throughout their academic career. But to use this technology effectively, your e-Learning site should be easy for both students and advisors to navigate.
This module introduces you to strategies and resources that will help prepare you to use e-Learning to meet the advising goals and outcomes you outlined in the previous module.
Objectives
At the end of this module, advisors will be able to:
- Locate e-Learning and request non-registrar course shells.
- Identify resources and services for e-Learning support.
- Recognize best practices for accessible online course design, development, and delivery.
- Reflect on how various components of a flipped advising site in e-Learning can align to their advising goals and student outcomes.
