goal & Objectives

This workshop will allow you to familiarize with the most important things you need to know about living in Gainesville and about being a Graduate Student in the Biology Department.

After this workshop you will be able to:

  • Navigate resources for finding housing, childcare, and using transportation around Gainesville.

  • Complete the requirements to be officially enrolled at UF.

  • Arrange for the test and course requirements for non English speakers (if needed).

  • Recognize expectations of and strategies for being a Teaching Assistant.
