As current and former international graduate students ourselves, we know how challenging navigating studying and teaching abroad can be. This is why we decided to conduct this workshop for incoming new graduate students. We hope you find it useful.

goal & Objectives
This workshop will allow you to familiarize with the most important things you need to know about living in Gainesville and about being a Graduate Student in the Biology Department.
After this workshop you will be able to:

Navigate resources for finding housing, childcare, and using transportation around Gainesville.

Complete the requirements to be officially enrolled at UF.

Arrange for the test and course requirements for non English speakers (if needed).

Recognize expectations of and strategies for being a Teaching Assistant.
