Herzlich willkommen in Discover German II.

Before we begin with the Discover German II materials, we want to take time to review. We have a number of quizzes that cover the main grammar items of Discover German I.

Take these review quizzes. Once you notice after your first attempt that you made certain mistakes and you don't understand why, please look up and study the forms and concepts in the grammar pages. You may take the review quizzes as many times as you would like before the deadline and your highest grade will count. Your careful review of the GER 1125 course materials associated with these quizzes is extremely important as the new GER 1126 materials that you will be learning in this class build on and extend them.

Group Work

There are no scheduled group activities in the first week. We will be asking you to begin forming working groups on your own during the first week. The final determination of group memberships will be made at the end of drop-add period. Students are encouraged to look ahead to the Group Activities in Week #2 and begin the individual preparation for those activities as soon as possible.

Introduction to Group Work

Go to the Group Creation discussion board to find other students who are trying to form a group. Once you've decided which group you want to join, go to the People tab and click "Join" to add yourself to the GER1126 group you want to join. You have until the last day of drop/add to join a group, after that point your instructor will place you into a group if you have not already joined one.
