Page Design & Structure Add a Banner Title
The banner title element contains the page's title and other relevant information such as the course number, module name, etc. If you want to style theme elements individually, use the Banner Title tool instead of the Themes tool to add and customize a colorful block of text to the top of the page.
Instructions
Add a banner title to a page
- Place your cursor in the editor where you want the banner title to go.
- Open the Add New Elements ( tab in the sidebar. )
- Select the Banner Title tool. The Edit Current Element ( tab opens with Banner Title selected as the active tool. )
- In the Content panel, enter the page title and other information that you would like to appear in the Banner Title block. The page will update when you press enter, tab, or move your cursor out of each field.
- Leave the Show Canvas Title box at the bottom of the content panel unchecked unless you want students to see the saved page or content item title in addition to the banner title.
- Open the Style panel and expand the Institution Themes panel.
- Select a style from the list to apply it to the banner title.
Edit a banner title
- Select the Edit Current Element ( ) tab in the sidebar.
- Place your cursor inside the banner title block on the page.
- If it is not already selected, choose Banner Title as the active tool:
- Use the options available in the Content and Style panels to make the desired changes.
