Honorlock Instructions
Overview
Honorlock is an online proctoring service that allows students to take exams on-demand 24/7. There are no scheduling requirements or fees. UF Online courses use proctoring for assessments worth 15% or more of the final course grade.
Users will need a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam. A microphone and photo ID are also typically required (depending on the instructor). The webcam and microphone can be either integrated or external USB devices.
Honorlock requires that you use the Google Chrome Links to an external site. browser; furthermore, the Honorlock extension Links to an external site. must be added to Chrome.

When you click on an Honorlock-enabled assignment in Canvas, you will be prompted to Launch Proctoring. If your instructor has enabled Honorlock’s Browser Guard, then you will be prompted to Enable Browser Guard. If your instructor has enabled Honorlock’s Screen Recording feature, you will be prompted to Launch Screen Recording. Click which screen to share and click Share. You are ready to begin. Note: Depending upon the other proctoring requirements that your instructor has set, you may be asked to perform additional actions, such as showing your photo ID.
