Future Lab: Mapping the Year 3000

Session Description

What might intelligence look like in the year 3000?

Drawing inspiration from a thousand years of human inventions, discoveries, networks, and ways of knowing, this participatory session explores movement as a tool for mapping possible futures. Together, we will trace historical shifts in how humans have organized sound, time, knowledge, health, connection, and intelligence, and use these as starting points for imagining what may come next.

Using our bodies as the machine, the code, and the intelligence, we will experiment with movement-based mapping, collective pattern-making, and embodied speculation to create possible worlds for the year 3000.

No dance experience or preparation is required, only curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to explore.
