Do you have a 1AG Hold from SFFGS for a Faculty Mentor? If so, please follow the instructions below and then tell us who it is. This person will give you advice on your focus area for your major, in addition to degree requirements support from your Academic Advisor. So, identify them now, SUBMIT THEIR NAME HERE, and get their input BEFORE registration begins.

MARINE SCIENCES Students: Your Faculty Mentor must approve your Curriculum Plan. It should include 8 Core courses, 18 credits from the list of Approved Electives (attached and on your degree audit), as well as the additional courses that also must be approved by your faculty mentor (review people here Links to an external site.) so that the sum of upper-division (3,000-4,000) credits is at least 60 hours. These additional courses may be from the Approved Electives list, or other courses at UF that you and your faculty advisor agree are relevant for your career/research goals.
NATURAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION Students: Your Faculty Mentor must approve your Curriculum Plan. It should include 9 Core courses, as well as the additional courses that will need to be approved by your faculty mentor (review people here Links to an external site. and here Links to an external site.) so that the sum of upper-division (3,000-4,000) credits is at least 60 hours. These additional credits should be courses you and your faculty advisor agree are relevant for your career/research goals.
MAS and NRC majors, You should meet with your faculty mentor to discuss your Core options and additional electives that they need to approve. Don’t expect them to decide for you. Investigate courses offerings, prerequisites, etc. – there are also tips here for FINDING COURSES. So, if you want to register for courses, please identify your faculty mentor before registration begins so we may remove your hold.
