Welcome to the Orientation page! There are a few housekeeping tasks to take care of with some urgency. Otherwise, this is a short module with just a few items needing your attention.

Objectives

Students will:

1. Order kit immediately!
2. review the syllabus
3. introduce themselves in a discussion post
4. confirm kit arrival and inventory check via discussion post

Order Kit Materials

This course consists of hands-on lab experiments that complement PHY2054L.  Students are required to purchase a custom lab materials kit consisting of an IOLab cart and other items to complete 10 labs.

The kit is available for purchase from the UF Bookstore, where students purchase an access/redemption code and may use any available financial aid funds designated for this purpose. The access/redemption code is then used during checkout at eScienceLabs.com as a form of payment. Or, students may purchase the kit directly from the vendor and pay at checkout. Either way, students will end up at eScienceLabs.com Links to an external site., create an account, then search for the appropriate and complete the checkout procedure.

Students should select one of the two kits below, based on if students have a functioning IOLab cart that was used in PHY2053L. Students taking PHY2054L and do not have an IOLab cart should purchase the first option.

DID YOU TAKE THE UF ONLINE PHY2053L Course and have a functioning IOLab device?
Yes. Then you need to purchase KIT2401
No (What's an IOLab?) Then you need to purchase KIT2402
