Symposium
What is the Symposium?
The Undergraduate Research Symposium is a chance for students to present their research. All areas of research are accepted, and this is a great opportunity for students to present their summer work, such as research done at an REU, abroad, or at the University of Florida. Presenting at the symposium gives students valuable presentation experience, as well as a place to network and learn about research in a variety of fields. Guests with all levels of experience are welcome to explore the symposium. CURE classes are especially welcome to present, and often the whole class shares a poster.

Poster Submission
The call for abstracts will be announced in the spring along with poster guidelines. Posters are 3'x4'. All posters must be approved by the faculty research mentor prior to presentation.
Presenting your Poster
This page has several resources to develop a concise presentation. Focus on the broad picture of your research, results, and conclusions. Be sure to address the question of why should anyone care about the project you did - remember you have a general (not technical) audience so avoid jargon.
