DemoCanvas Peer Review

Overview

A peer review enables students to provide feedback on another student's assignment submission or discussion post in Canvas. You may be assigned a peer review by your instructor.

How do I know if I have a peer review assignment to complete?

You will receive notifications in the Recent Activity and To Do areas of your Canvas dashboard. You can also find peer reviews by clicking on Assignments in your course. Additionally, when you submit an assignment, you will see any peer reviews assigned to you for that assignment.

How do I submit a peer review to an assignment?

Read your peer’s assignment and add a comment in the sidebar. If your instructor includes a rubric, you must assign a grade using the rubric. However, your instructor may also ask you to leave a comment. Open the assignment and click the Review Now link. Leave a comment and click Save. If the assignment has a rubric, click Show Rubric and enter a score for each criterion, then click Save Comment.

Once you click Save, you will not be able to edit your comments or the rubric.
