Course Description

Introduction to the Ethics of AI provides a framework for identifying and navigating some of the ethical issues arising from AI applications. By the end of the course, you will have a deeper understanding of relevant ethical concepts, be better equipped to assess the ethical ramifications of current and future AI applications, and earn .4 CEU as well as a certificate of completion

Course Goals and Objectives 

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

    1. Explain some central ethical concepts
    2. Recognize some of the general ethical concerns arising from AI applications across various domains.  
    3. Critically evaluate AI applications through an ethical lens.

Course Policies

Participation Policy

Unlike a traditional classroom-based course, you do not need to show up to class at a specific time every day in an asynchronous online course. Instead, you need to review the course in its entirety, including the videos and readings, and complete all quizzes. You should finish the course no later than 8 weeks after registration when your access will expire.

Instructions will be available in your online course for how to view and print your certificate of successful completion once you have met the following requirements:

  • Complete all modules AND
  • Score 100% on each quiz (You will have unlimited attempts.)
