Purpose
This video assignment will help you get to know your fellow students and start forming a learning community. The information shared in the introductions will also assist me in creating your discussion groups for the term.
This assignment assesses the following module objective: (2) Create a personal introduction video.
Instructions
Content
- Include your background in fire and emergency services or a related field and/or your desired position or career path.
- Detail your experience in all leadership positions.
- Discuss the outcome you desire from completing this course.
Recording
- Speak clearly and confidently, making the introduction engaging and easy to understand.
- Make sure the video is at least two minutes in length.
- You may use the Canvas recording tool Links to an external site. to create your video. Or, record and host the video somewhere else and post a link in your discussion post. Make sure to check the link once posted to ensure it's accessible to your classmates.

Guidelines and Grading
Grading Criteria
- Content: Clearly introduces you and discusses your background in FES or related fields, shares your experience with leadership positions, and describes your desired course outcomes.
- Clarity/Engagement: Engaging and easy to understand.
- Length: At least two minutes long.
Late Work
- Up to 48 hours: 10% grade reduction
- Over 48 hours but less than 30 days: 20% grade reduction
- Over 30 days but before term's end: 50% grade reduction
