Module 3: Resource Management and Augmentation

Regardless of a jurisdiction’s size, the community must create, test, and maintain a plan of how to summon  additional resources during a disaster. The text will discuss the National Response Framework and how it is designed to function. The chapter will also examine how to enhance mutual aid plans.

Objectives

After this module, the student will be able to:

• Identify agencies involved in disaster control
• Describe NIMS resource management and typing
• List the drawbacks of mutual aid
• Recall the differences between an IMAC and EMAC request
