Our course is full with people who are NOT physics majors! Since you will all be in your home labs working alone and you won't have someone in the room with you to answer questions as they pop up, we'll need to band together to help each other out when issues arise. In other words we'll need to get to know each other!
In the discussion thread below please introduce yourself in a post that includes:
- where you live and your time zone (This is important! I'll try to partner you with someone in your time zone.)
- your major
- your prior experience with taking labs online
- when you like to/are able to do school work
- something else about you that a remote teammate would like to know
- a question you have for your classmates or me
- upload a picture or video of yourself! (not required, but it's nice to put a face with a name!)
I know online course discussions can seem forced (because a lot of times, well, they are!). That said, please respond to your classmates if they ask for help or share a story. The most frequent complaint students have about online learning is that they feel isolated. Let's remember that we're all out here even we're all over the world.
