CREATE Method for Engaging with Primary Literature
The C.R.E.A.T.E. (Consider, Read, Elucidate the hypotheses, Analyze and interpret the data, and Think of the next Experiment) method is a teaching approach that uses intensive analysis of primary literature to demystify and humanize research for undergraduates. This page provides links and documents with more information.
Future Research Opportunities
Ideally CURE classes will provide a springboard for students into research. Towards the end of the semester promoting research opportunities and asking students to reflect on skills they've obtained will maximize the chances of this happening.
- Welcoming guest speakers/researchers (at a range of career stages) can provide inspiration for students and help them to broaden their horizons.
